7 August 10: Slide by Slide

As the name suggests, two trombones front this band with Richard Leach and Kevin Grenfell doing the sliding. In the rhythm section, dazzling musicianship from Graham Smith on drums and Bill Coleman on bass. The texture and timbre of Kevin and Richard's individual playing styles give their repertoire a depth and tone that's sure to please with titles ranging from the traditional songbook through to the contemporary. Whether dancing or listening, *Slide By Slide* has something for everyone.

21 August 10: JB Jazz & Blues Band

Based in Gloucestershire, JB Jazz & Blues Band made a guest appearance on the hit C4 comedy series 'Spaced'. Led by pianist John Beckingham, this band's approach to music is to have fun. In 2008 they won 'Band of the Year' award presented by the Stafford Jazz Society.

18 September 10: The Cheshire Cats

This band of talented young musicians is led by Jack Cotterill on drums with Tom Kincaid on piano and Amy Roberts on reeds. Back at the Waterworks by popular demand as they went down a storm on their first visit.

2 October 10: Dart Valley Stompers

First appearance at the Waterworks for this exciting 6 piece band from the South West. Their repertoire includes classic New Orleans numbers ideal for dancing. In the five years since Dart Valley Stompers were formed they've made a name for themselves at jazz festivals and clubs around the country.

16 October 10: Louisiana Joymakers

Louisiana Joymakers are a stomping traditional band led by the charismatic Rod Chambers on clarinet and saxes. As well as the usual jazz standards you can expect a dash of latin, ballads, boogie or even a waltz to keep the dancers on their toes. A pedigree line up includes John Howlett on trombone and Jim Swinnerton on bass.

6 and 27 November 10: New Orleans Heat, Savannah Jazz Band

November 2010: 40 years of jazz excellence since the Waterworks Jazz Club first started in 1970. Two special celebration evenings on 6th and 27th November with two top bands that have long been associated with the Waterworks Jazz Club.
