Dancing to live music is great fun and is a brilliant way to keep agile. At the Waterworks Jazz Club, the bands play music you can dance to. Oh yes, you can! Anyone of any age, shape or size can dance to live jazz: come on and give it a whirl.
Once a month we have a 40 minute dance class before the live music starts when Alistair of Strictly Jitterbug teaches jazz jive steps. Even if you've never danced before, you'll find it's easy to learn. You don't need to bring a partner or wear any special clothes (just comfortable shoes!).
The dance class is included in the entrance charge. After the class you can enjoy dancing to live music. The bands enjoy it when the dance floor is busy - the interaction between musicians and dancers creates a special buzz.
It's very relaxed and friendly, so come and enjoy live music to dance to at the Waterworks. We welcome dancers on all the jazz nights.
