It's difficult to name a trad Jazz band that has not appeared at The Waterworks at some time or other. From the early years with Monty Sunshine and Humphrey Lyttelton to the present day with top stars such as Phil Mason and Sammy Rimmington, we've had them all.
In Britain we are fortunate to have many younger players who have taken up this music and are "keeping it alive", and in the process are becoming powerful new stars in their own right. Look out for names such as Richard Bennett, Allen Beechey, Adrian Cox, T.J. Johnson, Johnny Boston, etc, all of whom have played at The Waterworks.
You'll see visiting musicians from America, Australia, all parts of Europe and particularly from Scandinavia - the description "Swedish Band" is usually a pointer to an exceptionally good night!
