That's all folks!
The Waterworks Jazz Club wound up at the end of December due to unsustainable losses. Unfortunately it's not viable to continue so, after 41 years at the heart of the Midlands jazz scene, the Waterworks Jazz Club has closed. Many thanks to our loyal members and regular visitors for making the Waterworks such a great place to enjoy top jazz bands, dance and meet friends. We'd like to express special thanks to all the musicians who've performed at the Waterworks Jazz Club, we couldn't have done it without them!
The Christmas Party on 17 December was a fitting finale to the Waterworks
Jazz Club's 41 years at the heart of the Midlands jazz scene. With Hot
Banana in fine form, the dance floor was packed from the first number right
through the evening. With lots of jazz friends turning out for the
Ultimate Event we were delighted that ticket sales brought in sufficient
funds for us to make a donation of £650 to the Compton Hospice in
Wolverhampton.
It's the end of an era but the Waterworks Jazz Club finished on a high note
with a great party.
Best wishes to everyone for 2012 and remember: Carry On Jazzing!
